Accessibility targets

Horror should challenge the player, not the interface.

Accessibility is part of the design target. Final options will be confirmed as implementation and testing progress.

Target

The items on this page are planned goals, not a final feature list. The project is still in prototype development, and availability may change after implementation and testing.

Planned areas

Options that address specific barriers.

The intended approach favors clear controls and modular adjustments over a single broad accessibility preset.

01

Text and subtitles

Subtitle controls, readable speaker context where appropriate, and scalable interface text are design targets.

02

Input

Input remapping and alternatives for demanding holds or repeated actions are part of the planned control review.

03

Camera and motion

Reduced camera movement and options to reduce intense Fear presentation effects are planned targets.

04

Audio

Separate controls for dialogue, music, effects, and other useful channels are part of the intended mix.

05

Difficulty assists

Modular assists are preferred so players can address a specific barrier without replacing the entire experience.

06

Readable pressure

Fear, stealth, and threat states should communicate through more than a single color, sound, or effect.

Design principles

Keep the information. Change the barrier.

Redundant signals

Critical information should not depend on color alone or on a single audio cue.

Readable escalation

Threat and Fear states should communicate before severe consequences arrive.

Player control

Camera intensity, text presentation, input demands, and key audio levels should be adjustable where feasible.

Test with people

Targets only become useful features after implementation, user testing, and honest release documentation.

This website

The preview is built to be quiet and readable.

It uses semantic pages, keyboard-accessible navigation, visible focus, scalable type, high contrast, and no autoplay, video, canvas, imagery, or tracking scripts.
